The Torah Light Award is given to outstanding Jewish web sites demonstrate the following:

• Insight on and analysis of classical texts
• Adherence to the Jewish tradition and the divine origin of the Torah
• Clear writing and organization
• Original and sophisticated thought
• High quality design

The award will not be given to:

• Sites representing a religion other than Judaism
• Sites sponsored by movements which deny the authenticity of the Written or Oral Torah
• Sites consisting of just a subscription form or collections of links
